Built in-house

Jax Bars
A home base for a local calisthenics community, built so newcomers can find the next meetup.
HL–001 · Community · Marketing site

Where the business was.
A growing calisthenics scene in Jacksonville, coordinating through social posts that scrolled away. Newcomers had to already know someone to find out where anything was happening.
What had to change.
The community had no central place for newcomers to find meetups, understand the group, or get involved.
How the problem was framed.
Lead with the community's own identity and energy, then make the next meetup and the way to join impossible to miss. A community site fails by being a brochure rather than by being ugly.
The decisions, and why.
Put the schedule where the fold is, explain the group in the words its members use, and answer the questions a newcomer is actually nervous about before asking them to show up.
What sits behind the interface.
A marketing site carrying the meetup schedule, community information, an FAQ, and direct routes into the group's existing social channels.
How it was improved.
Adjusted the balance between identity and information once the first version was in front of the group.
What exists now.
A home base for the community: the meetup schedule at the fold, the group explained in its members' own words, and a direct route into the channels where it already organises.
